Introduction
This website is a developing online resource which has downloadable examples of a multimedia approach to navigating a short country walk, including maps, written descriptions, and sequential photographic journeys to enhance the successful completion of a defined route. The website will be tested by a selected target group of users and their feedback used improve the website.
Codicote Community
Codicote is a village situated 26 miles north of London in the county of Hertfordshire. It has a population of approximately 3500 and is surrounded by mixed woodlands and arable fields.
There is a thriving community and numerous public paths and bridleways provide ample opportunities for exploring the surrounding countryside.
Wider Community
There are a number of online walking communities already in existence and rather than duplicating the resources already available, I intend creating a network of links so that users can explore other parts of the countryside wherever they may be.
What to Wear
In this section we will include recommendations about suitable clothing, first aid, walking etiquette and other useful information which may help the walker.
Minimum requirements will vary according to the region, seasonal climate, time of day, proximity of services etc.
