Codicote is a village situated 26 miles north of London in the county of Hertfordshire. It has a population of approximately 3500 and is surrounded by mixed woodlands and arable fields.
There is a thriving community and numerous public paths and bridleways provide ample opportunities for exploring the surrounding countryside.
The purpose of these maps and navigation guides is to facilitate the easy navigation of some of the circular walks which have been previously recorded and described by several contributors, amongst whom Nicholas Maddox of Codicote Historical Society is the greatest contributor.
I am grateful for all the contributions made by users and would like to thank the small army of users who test and give feedback on the relative merits and constraints of using this website as a source for exploring the countryside.
